taking a break

Due to eye treatment I have been away from Pannier Market for the last week and will not be back until beginning May. Twiddling my thumbs a bit as not painting during this time but  hopefully normal service will be resumed soon.  In the meantime my thanks to the wonderful ladies of the Westward Ho! W.I for making me feel so welcome during my talk on Friday 13th.

Westward Ho! WI

Unaccustomed as I am to public speaking...

Apparently that phrase can be traced as far back as Plato, who has Socrates use it to preface his speech defending himself before the Athenian court. 

Well I think perhaps my up and coming evening on Friday 13th April as  guest speaker at the Westward Ho! W.I.  is slightly less scary, but I am still somewhat nervous! However I understand they are a friendly bunch so actually I am sort of looking forward to it.
